Objective: to develop an easy-to-use Android app for scanning lottery tickets.

Solution:  

  • An Anroid app written in Java 
  • A web service using PHP and GCM (Google Cloud Messaging)
  • Processing of winning numbers is performed by a web app that analyzes the lottery’s official website and sends data to the mobile app 

Primary functions:

  • Scanning a lottery ticket 
  • Recognizing numbers, lottery types, and drawing date
  • Scanned tickets history 
  • Checking a ticket based on the winning numbers for past drawings 
  • A push message that the drawing took place for new drawings
